Chapter 354 354 - Misterious Chamber
As soon as they walked out of their prison campus, they met with the vigilant sight of a few teenagers standing there. Some of them had recently fought with Yue and got defeated. He saw all of them trying to look into their small prison campus area.
"What? looking for trouble again?"
One of the teenagers with slightly bleached blond hair gritted his teeth loudly. "Just… just give him back to us. We won\'t start anything else. If you want, we can even move out of here."
Yue raised a brow. "Why? So that you can torture and kill him?"
"No! he is our savior! I can\'t let him be killed by a.. you what are you? Women or a man?" the teenager panted loudly after he let out that loud shout. his face red like a ripe tomato ready to pop.
Yue curiously tilted his head to the side. "I\'m a man though." he peered at his sister confusedly. "Do I not look like a man?"
"You look like a handsome man," Tian said with a small nod.
Another one of the curious children up peered out from behind that brave teenager. "Then Why do you have long hair and why are you dressed like a woman?"
Yue glanced down at his attire. he was wearing a soft nylon stretchy top that clung to his torso and baggy corduroy pant. this was not a panned outfit actually. the attack in their base came unexpectedly. they had to leave in a hurry so Yue just threw on random clothes that were lying around in their room.
"It\'s a unisex top."
this was one of the clothes his mother had brought for him before the apocalypse. even now he did not feel uncomfortable wearing them. To be honest his mum\'s sense of fashion was impeccable and the shirts she bought for him were very comfortable and stretchy. Even when he gained a bit of muscle, he was able to wear it with ease.
He delicately touched his long hair. It had grown down past his shoulder blades.
"I like having my hair long and wearing girly tops. because they are very comfortable."
"Really?" the young boy looked quite interested.
"Shut up, fang. You! stop trying to distract us! Where is uncle Shao? Give him back to us, here this is an exchange." The boy gestured for the ones behind him
The kids behind dragged in a huge sack and dropped it a few feet in front of Yue.
"we have collected all the food we had left with us. You take it and give him back to us."
Yue glanced at his sister with a brow raised. This came as a surprise. He had thought these kids might have at least a bit of hate for Murong Shao as he was also an accomplice to that crazy doctor\'s illegal human testing. But it looks like the kids admired Murong Shao as a hero.
Tian gently nudged him. "What do you say? Do we take their food?" she playfully winked at him in secret.
"That won\'t be fun…." Yue whispered with a soft chuckle. clearing his throat, he faced the young crowd. "Guys, no, kids, we don\'t want your food. And your uncle Shao is safe and secure in there. He was badly wounded as you saw him when I carried out of there. We can treat him. after that you can have your uncle Shao back. but I do have a condition for sending him back. Can you fulfill it?" he looked at the blond-haired teenager who looked like the head of this gang.
"What is it?" the boy vigilantly glared at him.
"I want to know how your prison base has never attracted any zombies."
the kid\'s expression shifted slightly. "We get attacked every time! What nonsense are you talking about!"
Yue stepped closer a bit. "You see, we actually escaped from a huge zombie hoard. It\'s been a day. They must have caught up to us. At least the fastest, speed-ability zombie must have heard all the screaming. They must have caught the stench of blood and rushed over here. But no.. no zombies came about to your base."
the kid\'s expression shifted slightly. "Lies! we have been attacked constantly! we…. we are just good fighters. you saw how powerful we are. That is why we remain undefeated."
Yue tsked loudly. "Is that so, we shall check if this is true or not," he gently patted the be that was silently sitting on his right ear. "Chen dear can you fly over by the gates and check if you see any zombies or at least zombie corpses? if you see some just buzz once. if you see none buzz twice, okay?"
The bee flew over and came back in two minutes. sitting on his ear the bee buzzed twice.
"Not a single zombie or zombie corpse outside the base walls?"
"y-you. how can a bee tell you anything? I\'m telling you, there are zombies out there you are just not looking properly….."
"What is making your base so invincible?" Yue interrupted him.
the kid stuttered and glared at him.
Yue was more than curious. If this base had any special method to repel zombies, then they could use it as well. But if it was an ability user, he was not sure how this would go.
In his past life, he had never heard of such a weird ability like that before.
If the secret of such a power gets out then the remaining human population would go crazy to find it.
Yue peered at the children who totally looked startled by his conjunction. He moved closer to Tian. "Do you think it\'s wise to storm in and check what they are hiding?"
Tian loaded up her guns. "I think we should. Talking is waiting time." She cast a bone-chilling glare at the boys surrounding them.
These were just teenagers. They might be reckless but they knew when to back away.
Tian was a powerful person before the apocalypse and after the apocalypse, her powers only advanced to such a level that she could emit a weird sense of killing intent into the air.
"w-we don\'t have anything like that"
"We can check it for ourselves then.," Yue stepped into the prison campus.
The younger kids were still anxiously running around.
And when they saw them entering their prison campus, they all froze and scried off to the furthest corners. some brave ones stood up to him to inquire about Murong Shao\'s state.
Yue assured them that their beloved uncle Shao will live and that he would be safely send Murong Shao back to them.
The kids were not convinced at all but they couldn\'t do anything against him.
They feared him.
Yue casually walked into the prison campus. It had the same structure as their prison and back when they were searching for his cousin Shao, they almost searched all parts of this place. Expect one. The high-security isolation cell.
There was only one that was at the farthest end of the isolation cells.
Yue had seen one on their prison campus as well.
That only meant that this prison campus has one as well.
Since the door to the isolation cambers was already broken-down Yue easily walked in leading to the farthest corner.
They had a few more doors to get through before they reached a single cell that was completely shrouded in darkness.
Yue somehow felt his whole body freeze up. every muscle and every cell in his body was revolting when he tried to move close to the cell.
Tian stopped before him and pushed him back slightly. "Stay back I feel something dangerous inside…"
"Do you feel it too?"
"Yes…. It\'s freezing up my body… Yue, step back."
Tian lit up her whole hand in flames, lighting up the passageway to the cell.
Lines up in front were hundreds of zombies chained up with weird tubes running down from their heads to the single chamber at the end.
"What the fuck is this?" Tian whispered in terror.
"I don\'t know…" he glanced back.
The kids who had followed them all along stood at the edge refusing to step closer.
"What is this? Why are they here?"
the young children started to tremble.
"What are they connected to? Answer me!!!" Tian glared at them deeply
