Chapter 32 The Arrival Of The Applicants
The temperature was cold this morning so Arlan turned on the heater of the shower. After taking a bath, he went to his walk-in closet and chose a more formal attire. He would be interviewing some people today so he wanted to look more professional in front of his future employees. Furthermore, the General Manager of the Pegasus Hotel would be coming to his villa as well.
After spraying some perfume, he casually combed his hair using his fingers while looking at his reflection in the mirror. He then went down to the living room and waited for Fredrinn to arrive. He was responsible for bringing the applicants to his villa.
Sofia\'s mom and brother were no longer around. They were escorted to City Land Hotel by the police officers under Fabian, a police captain of Taguig Police Department. As for Sofia, she chose to remain in the villa since she planned to work under Arlan.
At this moment, Sofia was wearing a short white dress and a pair of white high heels. She didn\'t tie her hair this time and just let it fall freely on her shoulders. Sofia also applied light makeup on her face and matched it with red lipstick, making her look incredibly stunning. "Good morning, boss!" She smiled as she greeted Arlan.
Arlan was a bit surprised when he saw her and when he heard her words, he laughed lightly. "What boss are you talking about? It sounds like I\'m a leader of a mafia. Anyway, Fredrinn will be here soon with the applicants. I hope that you can attend to them while I interview these people one by one."
"Eh? Doesn\'t that mean that you\'re already employing me?" Sofia chuckled.
"Yes. I really need your help with this. You have a lot of experience in dealing with all sorts of people so I\'ll leave those guys to you later." Arlan was relieved to have Sofia with him. Without her, he would have to ask Fredrinn to take care of the applicants. He didn\'t want to do that since the guy was already so busy.
Sofia nodded her head. "No problem! You can rest assured."
Looking at her eager expression, Arlan smiled and shook his head. "Please go and make some tea for our guests."
"Yes, boss!" Sofia cheekily said before she went to the kitchen to get the tea.
Arlan wanted to correct her again, but she had already run off to the kitchen. He was amused by her antics.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
Arlan quickly grabbed his phone when he heard it ringing. It was a call from Fredrinn and he immediately answered it.
"Good morning, Mr. Roa! We are already on our way to your villa. We will arrive in less than ten minutes." Fredrinn\'s voice echoed over the phone. He sounded more excited than him.
"Alright. I will be waiting for you guys." He then disconnected the call after that short interaction.
A few minutes later, Sofia stepped out of the kitchen while pushing a tray cart. There were some teapots and tea glasses on top of the cart. There was even a tea warmer on the cart. It looks like she had already prepared everything earlier since it didn\'t take her a lot of time to bring everything. "Are they here?" She asked when she saw him holding his phone.
Arlan nodded his head and replied while checking the time on his watch. "They will be here within five minutes." He then looked at her and asked. "You prepared all these earlier?"
Sofia smiled as she nodded. "Yes. I woke up early this morning and I had some extra time so I prepared everything. I also prepared coffee in case you will ask for some. As for the snacks, I will bring them later when the applicants are here."
Hearing this, Arlan gave her a thumbs up. This woman was really capable. With her presence in the villa, he would feel more at ease when he goes out to do some things in the future.
Not long later, two black Toyota HiAce arrived in front of the villa. Fredrinn already messaged him that they will be coming in these cars so he wasn\'t surprised.
Arlan gave Sofia a signal with his eyes as he said. "Bring them inside."
"Yes, boss!" Sofia immediately turned into professional mode. She walked towards the main door to greet the guests.
When Sofia stepped out of the villa, she saw Fredrinn leading a group of people. There were twelve of them following behind him. Four were middle-aged men, while the remaining eight were women. They all looked professional by the way they carry themselves. Sofia was a bit nervous when she saw them, but as the future head maid under Arlan, she had to gather her courage so as to not embarrass him. "Good morning, Mr. Vance!"
"Good morning, Miss Sofia!" Fredrinn\'s eyes lit up when he saw Sofia in her white dress. "These are the applicants who wanted to work for Mr. Roa." He said while pointing at the people behind him.
Sofia nodded her head. "The boss is already waiting inside for you guys. Follow me."
"Boss?" Fredrinn muttered under his breath. \'Does it mean that she is already working for Mr. Roa? That\'s possible…\' He thought to himself.
The twelve applicants were starting to get nervous the moment they stepped inside the luxurious villa. Most of them have experience working under rich people and they had seen many big mansions and houses. However, they were nothing compared to the Lake View Villa.
When they arrived in the reception room, they saw a tall man dressed in fashionable formal clothes. He was handsome, but he had an intimidating that made the applicants more nervous.
"This is Mr. Roa. You guys should greet him." Fredrinn mouthed silently when he saw the shocked applicants.
"Good morning, Mr. Roa!" They greeted Arlan.
"Good morning." A faint smile crossed Arlan\'s face and faded quickly. "Just relax, everyone. I will only ask you guys some questions so you don\'t have to worry." He added. He already checked everyone\'s information from the documents sent by Fredrinn. All of them were exemplary workers who had graduated from college. He only wanted to ask them a few things to make sure that there was nothing wrong with them. With the 10 years of experience he got as a super soldier, he knew that spies were relatively adept at hiding their identities. He was prepared to ask them some tricky questions that would give him clues if they were spies.
