Chapter 128 Gojira (Part 2)
Jake had seen a lot of monsters in the past. In his past life as well, he had laid his eyes on extremely powerful monsters, monsters he could not hope to defeat.
But what he had never seen, was someone as tanky a the monster in front of him. He saw the HP bar in front of him, and he saw the exact number.
The number of zeros on his HP bar, they were more than some stats that Jake had. The HP was at a staggering ten billion health points. Ten BILLION!
That number was something that Jake only heard rumors about. Monsters that were not meant to be beaten.
And a monster of this caliber, if it was going to fight the other big monster of the forest, then the aftermath of a fight like that, it would have destroyed half the forest for sure.
Jake took a deep breath as he looked at the locator, which showed him his position as well as the position of the computer.
And it had to make things incredibly difficult. The locator pointed to only one position. And that showed that the computer was right below the beast.
It was sleeping on top of the item that could get Jake home.
Jake\'s eyebrows twitched.
"Just what is wrong with this difficulty level? First, you put the computer in the territory of a monster that is unbeatable, even if we try and get all the monsters in the entire forest to gather around."
"I mean, a fight like that would take like a week because of the absurd health bar that this monster has. And now, the computer is goddamn below the Gojira? How do you expect us to get it out of this place?" Jake cursed.
But he knew where the computer was. And now, once the distractions arrived here, Jake would have a small window where he could potentially try and get the computer out of here without dying.
He looked at his chats. There was a message from Myriad Arrows.
Myriad Arrows started working, and whenever Jake was done, he could start working on his side as well, so that they could finish the work faster.
Jake sighed as he got up from where he was crouching and turned around to leave.
Snort!
He heard a loud noise. It was like the noise came from right behind him. He slowly turned around, half expecting to see the two giant eyeballs of Gojira here that he came to spy on.
But Gojira was still sleeping. It just shifted sides, and was snoring.
"Ok, I get it. Even the snoring is terrifying. Thank you Maria. I know the this is hard to go against." Jake grumbled as he turned around for real this time, and started running away.
The more time he stayed here, the more dangerous it was for him. He couldn\'t afford to do that. He couldn\'t afford to stay here in this place any longer.
Maybe, when he brought the backup, it would be possible. But until then, he was going to have to leave the computer here for the taking.
Just like it took Jake an hour to get here from where he started, it took a hour for him to get to where Myriad Arrows was working.
They split up the work, and soon enough, both the studs were working toward the creation of a nice path for the two dinosaurs to soon take.
The sun started rising a few hour later. Jake and Myriad Arrows had the menial work taken care of, and now, they looked at each other, covered in sweat and dirt for some reason because the game refused to take out this terrible part of reality from the game, and nodded at each other.
"It is time, I suppose." Myriad Arrows said.
"Both of us know where to go. The dinosaurs will just be leaving their caves, and they will definitely find the first piece of meat." Jake said.
"Yeah. I still don\'t know why I have to follow the goddamn dinosaur though." Myriad Arrows grumbled.
"We have to make sure that the two dinosaurs don\'t meet until they reach the Gojira. We don\'t want them to fight and waste our time, do we?" Jake pointed out.
He then stretched his hands and started running toward one of the territories that belonged to the dinosaurs.
This was dinosaur number one. Or rather, the mate of dinosaur number one. He didn\'t know enough about them to give them names, and for some reason, there were no names on their HP bars as well, identifying them.
Even the Gojira was the Gojira because of the similarities and the similarities alone.
He got there in little time, just enough to see the the large dinosaur had gotten out of the cave. It looked much bigger than it was the first time that Jake had seen it.
It was like it bulked up a little more, and that felt odd for some reason. If anything, he expected the dinosaur to get smaller, but why did it become so strong?
And the HP bar of the dinosaur also increased. It definitely became a better monster, and that was only going to help Jake.
It would only serve to delay the Gojira a little longer.
Jake rubbed his hands as he looked keenly at what the dinosaur was going to do.
Right in front of the cave, after all, was a good looking piece of meat.
This was dinosaur meat, dropped from some raptors. Jake had stocked way too much of this because he had been preparing to use it for this purpose, just he didn\'t think that he would use it against a monster that they had no chance of beating.
The dinosaur didn\'t take even a second before it dashed to the piece of meat, and then gave a heaven piercing roar that only made Jake smile.
"Good. It remembers. That anger should be useful."
